Most of us can say that we saw the movie Taken.
And most of us that did will say they at least liked it.
(I personally thought it was great.)
So when they advertised that this is from the same director as Taken,
We hoped that lightning would strike twice.
I am sorry to say that it did not.
The movie was transparent and missed its mark (pun intended).
If you like slow moments and senseless violence without a good plot,
Then this is a movie for you.
I give it 2 stars.
I do not recommend seeing this in the theater.
Wait for it on video.
Gunman? Left this screening feeling confused and not really sure what the plot was. The movie seemed dark and gloomy with alot of unnecessary killings and lack of a story line. Sean Penn should have considered some plastic surgery in the face to match the buffed body that he seemed confident in showing. There were times that I couldn’t hear what the actors were saying. I never leave out during a good film to go to the restroom or to get concessions but, this time, I left to get nachos and a drink and came back asking myself when will this end. I totally agree with the response above and recommend waiting for it to come on cable, not even worth the couple of dollars to rent.
I give it 2 stars: One for the movie and the other for the brief cameo appearance of Idris Elba. Even though his age is beginning to show, I love his British accent!
